Pam's Roti Shop & Caribbean Market

This is a hidden gem in St. Pete, the best Caribbean food I’ve ever had. The chicken curry roti my favorite dish! The owner and staff are always friendly and offer unique flavors that can’t be matched anywhere. This is a must stop for locals or even if you are just visiting the area. They also have a Caribbean grocery store to get those hard to find ingredients to take home with you.

Delicious food and friendly service. Everything is tasty from their goat curry to their doubles. All freshly made. Beef patties are super flaky and filled with beef. Roti is excellent. Definitely will come back.

Was so Happy to find this carribbean Gem in St.Peterburgs...its 25 mins from Tampa and 40 mins from Riverview. Owner (Abbi) is originally from Guyana and his mom is Pam. Small, clean and very well organized Grocery store with authentic goodies from Trinidad and UK. We ordered 8 doubles and 4 rotis wrapped. Chicken/Goat/Mutton and Beef. I also got a side of pumpkin. Doubles: barra was thin and soft..cha na was spiced well...the combo was excellent in taste...melted in your mouth and delicious! Roti: The chicken roti was well curried with potatoes ( i added pumpkin) the roti itself was thin and flaky and not too much dahl to over-whelm it. Excellent flavor and texture...only complaint is I would have liked more pepper sauce ( Trini in me)..but that is easily solved at home. Abbi said they go easy on the pepper because not everyone can handle the heat....but he would add more if asked. Friendly and attentive as well. They cook everything to order, so your food is fresh and hot...my advice is call ahead and place your orders. Friday and Saturday are his busiest times. We had no problem waiting...because it was worth it!! Doubles are 3 and Roti 16 in range. Super glad we will not have to drive to Orlando or Fort Lauderdale for great Trini food!! ****FYI i also did a review on Pepper Island in Ybor City.****

Just had my first pams roti and it was great! Fluffy roti pastry and tasty goat curry in nice clean shop with good parking. Ask for extra pepper sauce if you like spicy, the curry heat is tailored mild for northern palettes. Also picked up some home made tamarind balls and a can of callaloo.

We had an amazing lunch at this gem of a place in St Pete. It is located inside a small market with some tables. We ordered the curry goat that was quite tender and served with rice and curry potatoes. The jerk chicken was also delicious and serviced with perfectly seasoned cabbage and yellow rice. The Trinidad-Style Doubles was absolutely amazing. It consists of curry chickpeas served between 2 fried flatbreads. A pepper sauce or tamarind sauce is served on the side. It was very tasty and delicious. And of course we ordered roti which also was outstanding. We will definitely go back to this hidden gem.

I heard about Pam's from a fellow Trini and he mentioned that their food was pretty good and they didn't disappoint. I had a wrapped goat roti. The roti was thin as it should be and the dhal was distributed evenly across the entire roti, no thick dried ends here. The goat was piping hot with loads of gravy, just how I like it. The goat was well cooked with minimal amounts of bone. My only query was that I asked for plenty pepper and I didn't get any at all but their food was still tasty. I'd definitely visit again.

This location is amazing. 1000 stars their food is awesome and flavorful definitely would recommend them to anyone looking 4 Caribbean food and their customer service is amazing really good people

My husband and I visited Pam's Roti Shop for the first time in July of 2021. Lenny greeted us and was friendly and very helpful. We ordered curry chicken and buss up shot roti, jerk chicken which came with cabbage and rice, and doubles. Pam's cooking is amazing! Then she came out and introduced herself to us. She's a doll. She was so pleasant and kind. She even gave me a piece of her Spanish thyme to bring back to Oklahoma. Before we left Tampa, we ordered dahlpurri, beef patties, coconut rolls, and coconut raisin cookies to take back. Pam packaged everything for us to make the trip back safely. Pam and Lenny were two very kind and sweet people we had the pleasure of meeting as we celebrated our 9 yr wedding anniversary. Thank you both for being a part of our fun memories. I'll be placing an order for more dahlpurri around Christmas because she also mails orders.
